Privacy Policy

BlendDistrict is operated by Shellback IT Solutions (“we”, “us”). It lets independent barbers and stylists (“barbers”) take bookings, and lets clients book and pay for appointments. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Clients: your name, mobile number and email; the appointments you book; any style photo, link or description you choose to share; and, if you join a membership, your membership status and billing history.
- Barbers: account email, business name, services and prices, locations, availability, and portfolio photos.
- Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Barbers' identity and payout details are collected and held by Stripe.
- Technical: cookies needed to keep you signed in, and basic server logs.
How we use it
- To make, change and cancel appointments, and to process payments, refunds and memberships.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders and updates by email, and by text message if you opt in.
- To share your booking details (name, contact information, appointment and style reference) with the barber you book.
- To prevent fraud and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your personal information.
Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in on the booking page, we text you booking confirmations, reminders and changes about your appointments. Message frequency varies with your bookings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent, will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the service providers that deliver our messages.
Who we share information with
- The barber you book or subscribe to.
- Service providers that run the app for us: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email) and Twilio (text messages). They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below); we'll keep only what we're required to.
Your choices
- Opt out of texts anytime by replying STOP.
- Ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing support@blenddistrict.app.
- Cancel a membership anytime from your member page.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is restricted to our servers, and payments are handled entirely by Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should book appointments for children.
